ORIGINS
Requiem Avenging Angel gones gold in 1998, developped by 3DO and edited by ubisoft... just like Half-Life or Sin, Requiem comes to bring its personal touch to the FPS universe. Rather Dark, the game deals with the battle who oppose hell and paradise ; you're playing an angel named Malachi, came to protect the Creation.
In order to defeat all those demons, Requiem allow you to access a lot of different weapons and powers... handguns, shotguns, grenade launcher, fly power... and even the firsts steps of the bullet-time.
All things considered, Requiem Avenging Angel is a great memory for us, and an unforgetable experience we have shared with our friends. Today, after a topic started by Daedalus29 on NoFrag, we'll try to share again this game who hadn't in our humble opinion the succes it deserve to have... by modding it on the Doom III engine.
Finally, the 2005 vacations will make us change our vision about the mod, and especially about the engine. The mod is now developped ont the Quake 4 engine who offer us a lot more possibilities.

MOD FEATURES
Level Design
We'll try to enhance and improve the global leveldesign to create a visual universe close to what we can see in Blade Runner or Judge Dredd... massive building structures, really tall and a futuristic, glauquous, dark and "wet" universe.Global Illumination
Doom III showed its weaknesses especially in the global illumination of the levels. Either in the original game, Resurrection Of Evil or various the mods that we can see in preview currently are extremelly dark. Quake 4 a little improved this lack of luminosity, and we still will accentuate it to try to give a better illumination to the levels.DMS
Dynamic Music System, that's how we called the script managing the musics through the different levels of the game. We wanted to integrate background musics throughout the progression in the universe, decorated with fighting musics starting when monsters detect your presence.Weapons and secondary fire
We're gonna preserve the best weapons of the original game and relook all other weapons. And first of all we will create the handgun (Hakael) in akimbo and a secondary shooting for each weapon.Pouvoirs
Les pouvoirs de Requiem ont plus ou moins d'importance dans le jeu. A l'heure actuelle, nous n'avons pas pris de décisions réelles concernant les pouvoirs, mais il est évident que certains vont disparaître qui ne nous semblent pas réellement utiles. D'autre part, nous allons complétement revoir les effets pour donner un effet de puissance plus grand à Malachi.
